After being dumped at Sunflower Care Assisted Living by her conniving daughter, cantankerous Doris Grace is immediately met by a newly trained assistant to the Grim Reaper. A battle of the wits ensues and Doris defeats the novice specter. But Doris still wants out. Then, through their shared contempt of Sunflower's callous director, the facility's bubbly caregiver is able to open Doris' heart...
